International Energy Agency says that 95% of growth in energy between now and 2040 should be met with energy efficiency, renewables and nuclear power.

SaskPower needs to add 156 MW of wind power per year for the next 12 years to meet their goal.

Currently, there is 377 MW of wind projects in the works set to go online by 2021.

These projects must still go through various approval processes.

A Request for Proposals for 200 MW of wind energy generated 4000 MW of interest in the province.
